100% agree. I see the uptake of electric bikes and scooters everywhere across the medium-sized city I live in. We do need some changes to urban planning to go alongside this though as the current paradigm is built around automobile ownership. If new apartment complexes had built-in ebike and scooter charging/storage for residents it would hasten the uptake.

Reversing city road rights would also help. Go to the Netherlands and cars are second-class citizens to bikes but in the UK cyclists are treated with distain.
