$7bn isn't too bad for the size of the rapid prototyping industry. These will always be specialist devices that have a need within industry and education. But they are constrained by speed and are poor for mass-manufacture and do not really have any mass consumer appeal.

I do not mean to knock your company! I use Formlabs printers at work alongside Ultimaker, Trotec and Flashforge to name but a few. These are all tremendously powerful, reliable devices that we find a multitude of uses for. But higher education is a place where they will always thrive.
