I've always assumed the iPad Air would kill the Pro. In terms of value the Pro is pretty poor: you don't get much more over the Air model and $700 will buy you a refurb M1 Macbook Air, the best value computer Apple have ever made.

Your comments on the iPad 10 give me even more pause for thought: If this model is better value than the Air then there is even less reason for the Pro to exist.
