All I have seen and read about the S24 Ultra makes it just seem like an S23 Ultra that bypasses the need for users to actually become better at photography themselves.

Remove the highly-situational AI features (many of which are backwardly compatible with the S23U) and you have a low-bar iterative update whose only real difference is less filleting on the glass.

YouTubers have been falling over themselves to make the phone look like something exciting to pad out an otherwise grey January. Look for example how the otherwise respectable Mrwhosetheboss massively rigged his S24U vs 15Max camera showdown by changing all the categories from last year.

The S24U is undoubtedly a powerful, good value phone. But I wouldn't say its worth paying more for over last years' S23U. Compare it to the OnePlus 12 which has all sorts of useful features such as the ability to upscale any game to 120fps. Thats mad!
