Although needed at the time I think we are still seeing the after effects of lockdown and it has deeply affected all of us.

Even though we might have been at home with families or housemates we still need connections beyond the 4 walls we live in and online chats are no substitute for a coffee meet or a few drinks at the pub.

Solitude can be a wonderful thing and I often enjoy taking my camera out for a walk in the countryside by myself but this is by choice and there are people waiting for me to return.

For anyone suffering from loneliness I implore you to try to find a local group with the same interests as you or to volunteer in your community. Heck, even if you don't believe pop into your local church if its just to make a friend.
