I wrote this because I think other companies get a bit of a hard time from some of the more hardcore fans for ‘ripping off’ Apple’s designs when it’s a less black and white than they think.

Companies like Google and Nothing have gone with the fashionable flat sides but made an effort to single themselves out but not go so far from the established ideal of what a phone should be.

I know YouTubers like to talk about the glacial pace of phone innovation. Nokia only uses to throw out so many different handsets because they wanted to see what would stick. Just prior to the iPhone being revealed (which hadn’t been leaked) LG launches their Prada phone which looked eerily similar. The glass slab was always on the cards.
