The Pro is more of an accessory for people who don’t want to carry their iMac everywhere and want something different. The Air is a much higher value machine for 99% of users who just want the best iPad.

I admittedly have a Pro but this is because I use the LiDAR Scanner for the work I do but I wil; admit this is a very niche usage case.

Given the M1 MacBook Air can be had in refurb for as little as £700 I would argue that there isn’t anyone that has any business buying it as a main computer.

People bemoaning the lack of MacOS on the Pro are just annoyed they brought the wrong device.
