Amen. I recently shot my sisters' entire wedding day on auto and every good shot (you know, those 250 left from the 5000 you took) looks great and needed little processing.

I will speak up for manual modes on phones though. Shutter is a waste of time unless you have a tripod but manual focus is great for macro shots.
