An AI can probably replace a bad preacher pretty easily if all that leader is talking about their prejudices and cherry picking verses to justify them. Jesus didn’t come to make sure the middle classes could sleep soundly at night but spent all his time with the waifs and strays.

A good sermon will relate the subject matter to real life experience. It is important that the congregation know that the minister has been through the same things they have; shared suffering is part of the Christian experience and a ‘holier than thou’ attitude opposite what are at least supposed to be the church teachings.

So yes, an AI can replace a bad preacher but a good one is hard to beat.
