Analog is Your Best To-Do List Option

If you’ve read any articles on productivity they will invariably turn to yet another to-do list app of some sort. Alongside silicon valley defaults are many 3rd party solutions that all claim to help you organise your life and get more stuff done. I’ve tried multiple times over the years to digitise my life and every single app I have used has all ended in the same way.

Whether its life organisers like Notion (That you need a Masters’ degree to figure out) to simple options like Things, they all have the same issue: they’re locked to the digital realm. Maybe you live your life at your PC and your phone is your sidekick but digital devices all have one flaw: you can leave them behind. Notion telling you its time to write that email? Thats at your desk back in the office. Ticktick bothering you with a reminder? Just swipe it away and live in ignorant bliss. They also have the exact opposite problem which is they’re always there. There are few things guaranteed to make you irate during your evening session of Final Fantasy XIV than a reminder app bugging you about something from work. So how did I get organised and solve these problems? By going analog with a pen and paper.
