Andrew, I have to wonder what device you're testing here because neither the Pixel line of phones nor the Nothing Phone 1 have any of these issues.

If anything I wish Apple would pilfer the 'back' screen edge gesture from Android instead of me having to double the length of my thumb to reach the top-left of the screen.
