Anthropomorphising God makes it easier to communicate visually but in many ways it also boxes them up. This has perhaps been the problem of the western church for some time: we think too small!

If we believe God created the whole material universe, time, space and all natural law therein (including chaos) we cannot hope to comprehend their form but then this is the point :)
