AR has the power to fundamentally change the entire physical world, from architecture and neighbourhood planning to gaming and socialisation.

Software like Pokemon Go shows how an AR application can add value to physical spaces, encourage people to visit local retailers and even spawn cottage industries selling physical collectables to a captive audience. A Dragonite plushie sat on your shelf is more useful and an art NFT which cannot be used outside of a computer.

But it needs democratising first. Apple needs to bring the LiDAR sensor down to the regular iPhone which will force Android OEMs to get in on the game too.
