As a daily user of the 11" iPad Pro I have to say...... You're dead right. If it wasn't for the LiDAR scanner (I am one of about 5 people in the whole world who use it) I would settle for the Air. The Pro is too close to the M1 MBA to be a worthy purchase.

Apple could really do with tidying up its computing product lines a little in 2023 which might involve tweaking a few price points here any there:

£300 - iPad 9

£500 - iPad 10

£700 - 128gb iPad Air

£999 - 12" iPad Pro

£1200 - M2 Macbook Air

£1400 - M2 New Design 13" Macbook Pro

£1600 - M2 Macbook Pro 14"

£1800 - M2 Macbook Pro 16"

You have a clear benefit for moving up the spending ladder but offer a swathe of machines for everyone.
