As far as I’ve used it’s still just a glorified web app, albeit a very smart one. There is no deep integration within the OS and it always requires the internet, something that is not always accessible.

I think they need to do what Apple have done alongside their work with OpenAI by building their own LLM that lives within the OS and bound at a system level.

Before they built Cortana the Xbox had a similar feature where the voice commands were baked into the console and response was lightning fast. As soon as Cortana was put in things needed pinging to the web and took minutes to execute which made them largely useless as a result.
