As Master Yoda famously said: “Experience, the greatest teacher is.”

A good teacher will refer back to their own experience to help infer knowledge and encourage questioning from students. The purpose of education is to prepare young people for a world we cannot envision yet so that when faced with a problem they choose to think instead of remember.

If all a teacher is doing is encouraging the rote learning of facts then they may well be replaced by an AI but then again I would argue this isn’t really teaching at all.
