As much as I'd love to see it I don't think Apple will release anything in a headset category until they can make it stylish.

Humans are notoriously self-conscious about their external appearance and those big dorky VR headsets, as fun as they are aren't that much better looking than the even dorkier headsets of the early 1990's.

People will be expecting industry-leading design and anything that looks worse than Google Glass is going to bomb fast.
