Assuming a household where everyone is on Apple anyway I'm not sure what use a 'command centre' would even offer. I don't have an awful lot of smart gear at home but amongst my family there are 4 iPhones, 3 Apple Watches, 3 iPads, an Apple TV, a HomePod and a Mac. I don't thiink this is a lot.

If somebody wants to turn off a light (and is too lazy to use the switch!) they will normally have a device at arms length to do it for them.
