At a pure value-per-$$ rate the M1 Macbook Air is probably the best laptop you can buy, full stop.

It will chew through most people's computing requirements and because it has a larger heatsink (not because of a non-issue with the SSD) its actually better at high-end tasks than the M2 model.

In the UK you can pick up a refurb M1 Air for as little as £700 which is an absolute bargain!
