Banning it in education is short sighted. I used it to generate a speech for my son's homework but he read it through three times and picked it apart, adding it to what he had already written. He found the starting prompt to be useful in introducing his topic. The key thing is he learned from it.

The other side of the coin is its help for teachers. I saw an educator load it with a model answer and the mark scheme and it spat out the correct marks in 3 seconds. Now a poor educator would just C&P those marks but the teacher could bounce their own marks off of the AI results, speeding up the process and allowing more time for the teacher to provide feedback.
