Boba Fett was a misunderstood character from the beginning.

In the original trilogy he is called upon by the Empire to deliver a parcel. Whilst waiting for his cheque he falls down a hole. That is all he ever was: an inter-planetary deliveryman. Sure, he had cool-looking armour. But maybe all Star Wars Amazon delivery guys wore it? After all, the galxy was a harsh place and the post needed to get there somehow.

The point is he couldn't have been any more of a blank slate if they tried. In BoBF he acts as a Mandalorian S3 deliveryman!

Remove all that though and I think the series had some redeeming qualities. I can see where Robert Rodriguez was going when he wanted to make a Star Wars Magnificent 7. His commitment to practical SFX was laudable, even when it made sense to use CGI.

It wasn't the best thing ever made but it was a damn sight better than Ahsoka and The Acolyte!
