Britain didn’t need to be an insignificant voice. Prior to Brexit we had the strongest economy in the EU and acted as a useful go-between for dealing with the USA.
I don’t think many would disagree with me in saying the EU is quite a lumbering, bureaucratic beast and in need of more than a little reformation. Instead of looking in at the feast through the outer window like some Victorian orphan we could have been at the head of the table in spearheading these reforms.
We could have been managing the team instead of shouting at them through the TV.
