Cracking movie with a wonderful art style that just ‘flows’ better than similar movies.
I must admit a high point in playing Witcher 3 was coming across what seemed like a really creepy monster hiding in a house or in the woods that turned out to be a Godling, a childlike green amphibious-looking creature with large black eyes. The hero, Geralt might hunt and kill everything that might harm humanity but he endears himself to the Godlings.
There is a memorable side quest where you have to investigate a haunting for a rich banker who has bought a new house in the city. Inside you find a witch writhing on a bed in a comatose state and hear creepy laughter from the basement. Investigating it is just a Godling playing jokes because they want to live in the house.
Geralt chooses to let the monster stay if she frees the witch and informs the banker that the house is haunted and should be left alone.
Sometimes monsters are people too.
