Elon could make the platform self-sustaining, beat spam and kill the bots in one move: Twitcoin.

Users buy in to a tokenised currency with one Twitcoin being the equivalent of 5c or 5p. It then costs 1TC to send one tweet and 1TC to add an image to it and a further 2TC to upload a video. It would cost 1TC per hashtag after the first.

The cost is so small that it would not bother regular users but bots and spam would be gone overnight.

If we say 90% of tweets per are from real people then even without images and video you’re pulling in $260 a second or $22,500 a day.
