Exams are outmoded as it is without introducing AI into the equation. As you say, if AI can let a student cheat then it is the assessment that needs to change, not the students.

If anything them being able to use AI to help them proves we are doing it right by encouraging them to think creatively instead of just regurgitate outdated facts.
