Facebook's attempts to turn their core app into Twitter made me delete my account. All I wanted was a reverse chronological of what my closest friends and family are up to.

Instead I got endless 'do you know this person?' (No) or posts from complete strangers or groups popping up because a friend has a niche interest. There was so much spam I called it a day and now just use WhatsApp because if I didn't have their phone number, how close were they to begin with?

But I use Twitter to engage with strangers, normally ones in professions similar to mine. Its a great networking tool and a good way to see the pulse of your city.
