Fact is most church sermons are pretty boring but then modern life has made us forget how to be bored. Sometimes in those moments we find time to pray or just think about other things. I actually don't mind a 20-30 minute sermon. I find them rather relaxing!

Worse yet is 'substitute teacher church'. We used to have the odd weekend where the pastor was away so his understudy would step in. Instead of a giving us a talk on perhaps something different he'd ask a question and then make us discuss it with each other!
