Finally somebody gets it! I always see the iPad as Apple's $400 and $600 computing devices and at these price points they are infinitely more suitable than an equivalent Windows or Chrome device for a kid to do homework or an adult to browse or file their taxes.

I use an iPad Pro as part of my workflow to the point it has become my main computer. I work better when I'm surrounded by the outside world so the portability alone gets a nod.

As well as general computing and blogging I use mine for a very deep-but-niche CAd workflow where I LiDAR scan an area, use Scaniverse to check the 1:1 dimensions, draw up plans in Shapr3D and then export to Fusion 360 for fabrication. Shapr3D is also capable of drawing up technical drawing vectors for laser cutting as well (which not other 'vector graphics' app on the iPad does).

Scaniverse is capable of on-device Photogrammetry without a web connection. I cannot tell you how mind blowingly incredible this is as I know of no other man-portable device that has the same capabilities that costs less than $30k.
