For me that video thumbnail represents everything wrong with the iPad: the waste of screen space!

I love iPadOS and don't want it to be closer to the Mac. But I would like it to step out of iOS's shadow and into the sun.

Control centre is a great example of this. In iOS 18 they copied the iOS layout with the ability to create and swipe between multiple pages. Yet right there to its left is nearly three-quarters of empty screen space they could have filled it with instead. This would allow you to see everything at once and let them perhaps add more useful system tools in the process.
