For me the big difference is software.

On one hand the iPhone is home to dozens of premium (as in pay-once, no-sub) software and game options that will never be available on Android because the flagship market is just too niche to bother with. It also plays actual PS4 games natively.

On the other hand Android is capable of becoming nearly every games console ever made. Android phones have some more interesting features as well. I use Samsung DeX every day and yet Apple would rather sell me an iPad for the privilege instead. Procreate might only be on iOS but am I really going to draw things with my fingers instead of the lovely S-Pen?
