TBH its more that I don't expect the Apple headset to be as all-singing as many of the commentariat make out.
We already know Apple is buying their 2K OLED displays from Sony which is the exact same ones the PSVR2 uses. The PSVR2 is also incapable of independent use and needs to be tethered to a PS5 to work.
What I think we will get is a studio display that a user can strap to their face that requires a USB-C connection to an M-Series computer to do anything and will have a built-in A-Series processor for maybe independently running iOS apps. It might have some external LiDAR sensors for gesture support.
This isn't a bad sounding product; I just don't think its going to do anything an existing product like the PSVR2 already does, albeit with a generalist approach instead of a gaming focus.
