Growing up in 1980's UK Hymns were still part of our daily school assemblies and honestly the songs I miss the most. I'm not a traditionalist by any means; its more for nostalgia. We hopped between bouncy classics like Lord of the Dance to me traditional fare like He Who Would Valiant Be.

Our local church pastor used to write his own songs and aim them at families. I fondly recall a 26-verse epic called David Raps Goliath and a song about heroism and friendship that had a drawing of Jesus in between the Thundercats on the OHP acetate.
