Hardware is but a shell without the software layer on top. Whilst Windows laptops run Windows they will always be hampered in some way by an OS that has been in need of a rebuild for a long time. The ARM and CoPilot launch should have been the time to also launch Windows 12 and leave 11 as the last Intel version.

At the same time Apple silicon also runs Mac apps. True, Resolve and Premier are excellent but many of us use Final Cut and Logic which cannot be found on Windows. The same goes for apps like Things, Ulysses and Pixelmator.

Windows has excellent equivalents but I’m used to the Mac apps. Why move at all?
