I believe Apple already have the tool they need to completely supplant the smartphone market, remove all negatives from the use of smart technology and remain years ahead of other companies in its development.

I am of course talking about the Apple Watch, a device begging to be set free from its iPhone tether and be available as a singular product. If they can crack an all-day battery, add biometrics somewhere and turn Siri up to 11 (so it's actually useful for anything at all!) they can create a whole new market. All they have to do is sell the device as a positive for your digital life, keeping you in touch but removing all advertising, tracking and addictive behaviours like gaming and social media.
