I don't mind paying a sub for entertainment. In the UK we've kind of been paying a mandatory sub for the BBC for nearly a century so moving to Netflix is no big deal.

But every other app can do one. I will happily pay up front for an app if its decent; I happily sank £25 on Disgaea or Ulysses on iOS because they were worth paying for. (If you're sick of paying for Photoshop I thoroughly recommend Pixelmator as a replacement)
