I don't think Apple needs to be 'innovative' to succeed at all. Making dependable, reliable products is enough. Their most celebrated decisions of recent times have been processors and bringing utility back. The last two decades of tech sprint is over with; the market has plataued for everyone.
Vision Pro was a lot of things but above all it was a rare 'because we can' from Apple. We are so used to seeing companies like Sony making cool shit for enthusiasts (Robot Dogs etc) its strange to see a conservative company like Apple do it.
Mac Pro pricing meeting iPhone marketing was never really going to work as a commercially successful venture but has it been a failure? We're still talking about it, aren't we? ;-)
