I find it less of a headache to think of every Zelda group as a parallel universe rather than a single timeline like Final Fantasy. Majora’s Mask is literally this exact thing so the idea has precedent.

As far as I am concerned Age of Calamity, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are all a seperate universe unto themselves and bear no relation to any past games.
