I had a similar story from the other side of the tracks: the weight and size of the 14 Max bothered me so much I went for a regular S23 that ticked all the boxes and was much more ergonomic. However little niggles like the default apps and the NFC never working properly prompted me to look elsewhere.

As well as a Pixel 8 Pro I picked up a 2nd hand Pixelbook laptop that may well be one of the most beautiful pieces of technology I have ever used. I love iPhones but don't see myself going back to Apple any time soon.
