I have a soft spot for Evernote because it was the first app of its kind. I even bought their branded merchandise. The messenger bag and water bottles were overprices but the Moleskin was a lovely product. They were doing markup with Skitch years before anyone else. The web clipper is still unsurpassed at saving web pages.

Its greatest strength is, as you say how obvious it is to use. I watched maybe 5-6 tutorial videos for Notion and still had no idea how it worked. It must be one of the most overhyped products on the internet.

I’m not a business person but I would have always assumed that for added value a merger with Dropbox would have been a great idea.
