I hear you. I signed back up, albeit temporarily during lockdown to see how everyone was doing. I use WhatApp on a daily basis and am eyeing up some of Meta's VR gear.

Social media definitely has its uses. I'd find FB a lot more tolerable if I had the option, even a paid one to turn off for good everything that wasn't just a reverse chronological feed. The constant 'you might know...' and 'your friend said something to somebody you don't know' became intolerable and I deleted my account again.
