I love these sorts of articles. Lovely answers.

1. We took a chance day out from where we were staying in Llandudno in North Wales to the nearby town of Conwy and had a wonderful day wandering the castle walls and sampling a small harbour.
2. Venice was incredible. I’d love to visit again during Carnivale.
3. There is no long wait not improved by the presence of Nintendo consoles.
4. City visit? Hotel. It’s a lot safer and normally better value for families. Coast? A guesthouse with a shared kitchen. It’s a lot cheaper to cook in the evenings then go for a nice walk on the beach. Countryside? Airbnb. Getting an idea of what life is like out there makes you feel like less of a traveller.
5. Always a backpack. A smaller travelling capacity means having to pack ingeniously.
6. For work? It’s a lot easier to travel alone. But I do miss my family when I’m on the road and normally come back with them at a later date.
7. Wherever the wind (or the tube) takes us.
8. Nothing really. My brother always takes his own pillow whenever he goes away though.
9. The hot British summer being stuck on a broken down train aged 8. Not fun.
10. Apple Maps on my watch saves me taking out my iPhone all the time which could potentially get stolen
