I only very recently stopped relying on the cloud as my main backup source. It occurred to me that if I ever got locked out of my account, what would I do?

I used to love the idea of Google’s ‘workspace anywhere’ web-first idea which is fine until the web goes down. Conversely my MacBook Air (from 2011. Still in use!) has all its software locally whilst my Mac Mini stores all my data at home and is backed up at that point.

As you have done, if one device fails there are others to pick up the slack. With the Cloudstrike update did it not bypass some security features? Aren’t businesses designed to always run behind the cursve to prevent things like this?
