I see the industrial uses: It could overlay an AR Haynes manual over a piece of workshop equipment showing how to disassemble it to find a problem in real time.

I could be out in the field and LiDAR scan a site with my iPad that then shows up in real-time to a colleague back in the lab to identify environmental issues.
