I think Apple are one of the best kept secrets in gaming. The iPhone has loads of platform exclusives that have never touched Android (often as premium releases too with no IAP), Arcade is a steal at £5 a month and save progress syncs up invisibly between devices. I tried portable gaming consoles but travelling for work found going between iPhone and iPad a better experience because those devices are always around.

Apple also, without thinking about it contribute to gaming preservation. I can still play games I brought 16 years ago on the first iPhone on modern hardware, even if they've been delisted.
