I think it says more about the PS5 market. I know plenty of gamers who have bought it just to play the latest FIFA or CoD and not be out of date. Even though these games are not to my tastes there is nothing wrong with this. But I would posit that the majority of PS5 owners (50m+) are perhaps not the hobbyist gamers Sony wishes to capture who would in the past have bought all the big 1st party exclusives. They may have since moved on to the PC which has a more varied set of hardware configs or saving their money for Switch 2.
