I think we all do. If life is inevitable and not merely the random product of chaos it means that not only is the universe probably teeming with it but also that the universe has a purpose. If that last part is true it opens up many philosophical questions about the nature of reality, a potential creator/programmer and if said creator had been in touch, what would they have told other species?

It’s all quite fascinating really.
