I was when I went to watch it and I must admit it is one of the few times I have been genuinely chilled in the cinema.

Its easy to look back and criticise it (“Why didn’t they just follow the river our of the woods?” etc) but at the time it was utterly genius word of mouth marketing.

I still think it’s one of the best horror movies ever made.
