I wish the west would stop trying to recycle 19th century ideas, be they communism, capitalism, imperialism and come up wiht some new ideas.

An income distribution model like this doesnt work because people want to be proportionally rewarded for the effort they put in. Now maybe the tech billionaires do deserve to be paid the same as a fast food worker but are we really saying that a surgeon, firefighter or teacher really adds the same value to society as someone who makes hamburgers? You could argue that it is all a matter of perspective; to a 6 year old kid they're probably worth more! But come on.

(Disclaimer: I worked at Mcds for 5 years during college. I've emptied my fair share of grease traps)

To make society more equitable what we need to give people is dignity. A UBI safety net so they can get themselves back into society if they make a mistake. No tax breaks for billion-dollar companies. No subsidies for entities exploiting the planet. A socialised healthcare system. Proportional representation. More localised tax incomes for communities. Less federal centralisation. A mandatory 5-year civil service requirement for all politicians. A ban on financial lobbying (aka bribary)
