I wonder if Apple will release the Watch app for iPadOS? This would let users bypass the iPhone for the first time and via a cellular connection let them live without a smartphone. That would be an experiment I would love to try.

I'm not sure the iPad needs much shaking. Too many people still see the iPad as an accessory but it sits nicely as Apple's $300, $500 and $700 computing lines.

For the sorts of people needing a $300 computer the iPad is a much better buy that the equivalent Chrome or Windows device.

For iPadOS 17 I would like to see a few things tidying up. For example the notifications system is a complete shambles. It should adopt the Mac system of having them slide in from the RH side of the desktop.
