I’d be the first person to knock Apple for their reliance on smoke and mirror tactics in their marketing. Many people believe that $800 is the lowest they should spend on a phone and would ask questions about what is wrong with a $300 phone like a Pixel 6a for it to be so ‘cheap’ (The answer of course is nothing) whilst making people believe that features like a telephoto lens or VRR are ‘Pro’ features.
But you know what? It works! Base features are not everything and it is the software that ties it all together. I love Android to bits but it can be like pulling your teeth out at times. Given the vast number of devices it has to support it is like the phone version of Windows: not rubbish by any stretch but still a little janky from time to time.
IOS by comparison might be a little bit stagnant but it works and it works well.
